What is karma?
September 9, 2009Inner Teaching No Comments »There are many misunderstandings about karma, because often karma is based on the material reality. To explain this in a simple example: When somebody robes another person, many people believes sooner or later the robber will be himself. This is what many call karma. This is a very simple and incorrect understanding about karma, don’t you think? However that is also what I have believed for a long ‘time’, just because I didn’t know any better. What I know now is that karma exists as a law of unfoldment your own reality with all its experiences – whether it is a pleasant or unpleasant experience – which I call the experience world of man.
When somebody (person A) says something to another person (person B) this other person (person B) can experience this as hurtful, however this wasn’t the purpose at all of person A. What happened is person A sowed something not hurtfull for himself and person B is harvesting something painful from before. This does not mean that person A will harvest something painful in the ‘future’ (don’t like to use this word) because person B experienced his comment as hurtful. You are yourself responsible of what you experiencing, based on how you act in your life. The following can sound a little strange, but nobody, really nobody can cause you any pain. When you experiencing pain because somebody says something to you, you are responsible for this pain. You cannot experience any pain if this pain wasn’t already in you. In the illusion you would think that that other person have hurt you, so you would probably become mad, but like said: nobody can hurt you, only you can hurt yourself. You have created that painful experience in yourself before, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to feel or experience it. That is why I always say: “When you say, feel, think, act, nothing but love, you won’t experience nothing but love in your life”. Really!
Do you understand the futility of trying to hurt somebody else? Therefore sometimes I think man is an awful creature. Well ,not man, we all know we are talking about the ego or limitations in man. They trying to hurt another, sometimes so bad, more and more, but the moment they would understand (like me) they are only able to hurt themselves, they would stop immediately. It is caused by the illusion time (and space) man believes they are able to hurt another. They don’t understand they are living and experiencing their own experience world. So everything they are saying or doing, will eventually only effects themselves.
Karma in the illusion
In the illusion of a particular moment, man believes he is hurting another, but actually he is sowing his pain for tomorrow (don’t take this to literally) The day after somebody says something he experienced as hurtful, and he become mad, because he believes somebody (outside what he believes he is) hurts him. Believe it or not, but this anger he experiencing is again something he is sowing for tomorrow. Why? He accept he let this anger lives in his consciousness, justify it by saying this is caused by somebody else, but sooner or later it will attack again himself and nobody else. I hope that the time that happen the individual will be awakened enough to understand that he and he only is responsible for all he experience in his ‘experience world’.
Sometimes I say: “The ego (egoic behavior) would be a fun movie, but unfortunately it is a sad reality.” With fun movie I mean the ego doesn’t understand in his ignorance he is only hurting himself. Imagine a cartoon where the character would set traps for another, but he is falling in his own traps again and again, without he understands this is caused by his own actions. It would be fun to watch (in a cartoon) but unfortunately humanity defines this as reality.
Summary
Life you are experiencing is a constant enfoldment of your inner being. If you accept to let anger, fear, sadness, live in your consciousness you accept it this lives in your experience world or feelings so life which you experience will manifests events you will experiencing as painfull as a result. These events are the unfoldment of your own consciousness. Aren’t we all one with life? We are creating ourself how we fill in this life just by what we believe. That is why it is so important we learn the truth in: “I Am the way, the Truth and Life”. When you see nothing but Truth, when you see nothing but pure, infinite Life; you will experiencing nothing but Truth and Life because (like said) life you are experiencing is the unfoldment of your own consciousness. So when you know truth you will be Truth and therefore you experiencing truth. We all know the world many experiencing today does not contain any Truth.
Note
I hope I have explained the principle of karma a little better so you get a better insight of the consequences of your actions. I understand many have questions about this topic. You can ask these questions in this forum topic.
I hope you have a good day! (I know I will
